I’m a kean gamer. I’ve been into video games ever since my Dad took me to an arcade when I was 6. The games I played that day remain favourites of mine because they made such a deep impression on me.
My first home console was an Atari 2600 – I still remember the blisters from a 4 hour session on Asteroids. After that we got an Atari ST computer and I have been a PC aficionado ever since. I haven’t had as much time as I would like for games recently. My duties as a husband and father come first now – but I still find the time for a session every once and a while.
As such, my taste in games has evolved from long sessions to quick fixes. I now find myself drawn the play the more disposable titles rather then the grand epics. To feed this fix I ventured back into the realm of consoles and purchased a Xbox 360 in early 2007. Sadly that affair lasted just a year before we realised we couldn’t carry on this way… I know have a Nintendo Wii and Playstation2 console. Both see to my casual gaming needs but I get the feeling something much bigger is just around the corner.
